Cream sugar and butter together. One egg at a time, add them, beating thoroughly after each addition. Whisk in salt, vanilla, and whiskey. |

Refrigerate dough overnight with a cover on. |

Grease the cookie iron very lightly and place it over a gas burner that is set to medium heat. Roll out roughly 1 tablespoon of dough and form it into a tiny cigar shape. Press the dough together after placing it on the heated iron. Cook for 30 seconds on each side, or until golden. Take the cookie from the iron and let it to cool. |
