Classic Restaurant Style Nachos

Ingredients

Directions

My entire family was thrilled when I cooked them at home using the recipe I obtained from summer camp. This dish, which consists of layers of tortilla chips and salsa with cheese on the side, tastes just like the nachos you get at restaurants. Ideal for a gathering!

Steps

1
Done

Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

2
Done

In a bowl, combine the onion, tomatoes, parsley, lime juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper.

3
Done

Arrange the tortilla chips on a baking sheet in a single layer, then top each chip with approximately one teaspoon of the tomato salsa. Cover the nachos with one cup of Cheddar cheese, then add another teaspoon or so of salsa to the chips before covering them with the remaining cup of cheddar.

4
Done

Bake the nachos for about five minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling, in a preheated oven. Serve hot with guacamole, sour cream, and any leftover salsa on the side for the chips to dig in.
