Mix the flour and salt together in a big bowl. Until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs, cut in shortening. Add enough milk to the beaten egg yolk in the measuring cup to make up to 2/3 cup of liquid. Mix the flour mixture until all of the flour is moistened. Split the dough in half. Roll out half of the dough onto a floured surface, then fit it into a 9 by 13-inch pan. |
